jon Posted February 26, 2008 Report Share Posted February 26, 2008 I'm fortunate enough to have recently bought a nice piece of GPS logging software that gives me lots of nice information. Last night I went out for a bit of a play (private road). I only had a couple of speed runs. My car has circa 300bhp@fly and is quite stripped (1150kgs with a tank of fuel). 0-60 was dispatched in 4.4 second with 100mph at 11 seconds. What's interesting is a) I had a bit of wheelspin and I had trouble selecting second. Looking at the raw data it actually took me 0.45 seconds from initial lift to WOT boost again in 2nd. The changes to 3rd and 4th to hit 100 were even slower. If I'd warmed up my rears, had a good launch and flat changed to second I think my MR2 might touch 4 seconds. To give you an idea of how impressive 4.4 seconds is, Chris Harris from auto car launched the E92 M3 at over 5 seconds and a 997 911 GT3 at 4.7 seconds in the recent GT-R video for auto car.
