Imagine what was going through the passenger and crew minds. Especially those who watch Aircraft investigation and seen bad outcomes of landings with faulty gears.

Do you mean on the ground? It's been moved. You can tell by the proximity of the grass as well as the lack of any marks. They clear and repair the runways as quickly as possible.

Tarmac is only a general term on runways. The larger ones are concrete, some with a relatively thin asphalt layer. I think it's de Gaulle or Orly airport in Paris who change one big slab of concrete every single night then by the time they have finished, start again at the beginning so there is no disruption.
