Steve minty
Hi i brought a set of alloy wheels off a 2007 ford mondeo tittanium model. And i got a 2010 mondeo tdci . Put one wheel on . Tighten nuts up tight as can go . And wheel was wobbling when i drove it up the stree to test . Is it a nut issue or do i need spacers or both
Tony
Hi Steve Have the wheels have the wheel balancing checked.
Viking
Either the wheels you fitted are not genuine and don't fit your car, or the wheels you took off are not genuine and maybe left spigot rings in place affecting the new wheels fitment. Rich
Welcome to WIM. The PCD, offset and centre bore is the same across the MK3 and MK4 Mondeo so that shouldn't be an issue. Unless like Viking says they're not genuine. What numbers are stamped on the rear of the wheels? Have you definitely seated the nuts correctly in the holes? You've probably done it like this but put them all on loose first before tightening them up.
Tony
If you loosen the bolts while jacked up and then spin the wheel side-to-side movement means you do need spigot rings. Remember i'm saying ''loosen" just so the pressure on the wheel allows it to display any lateral movement.
