The reason the wheel broke is because at the time of the impacted the wheel was on a full lock. This means the energy of the impact wasn't shared with all the dynamic functions/ bushings/ suspension. In addition the energy was transmitted to the steering arm In a near straight line travel the collective strength is able to consume the impact but as the steering is turned to collective strength is reduced. jammy Posted January 5, 2020 Report Share Posted January 5, 2020 Thats mad!! I hit a brick with my 19s ive had for 2 years now and that wheel only suffered a small flat spot..
