Since we are reminiscing this was my first comp..... Atari ST520

RAM: 512K
Display: 320 X 200 - 16 colors

Ports: RGB, cartridge, parallel, serial, HD
  floppy drive, MIDI (2), joystick, mouse
Storage: external SSDD 360K floppy drive
OS: Atari TOS/GEM

I started off with a ZX80 in kit form. When I upgraded to the ZX81 I couldn't believe the speed. With 16k rampack I could rule the world!

Spent £400 on a used Tandy TRS80 Model B. Had to borrow the money as I was a YTS trainee!

TRS80 which was just a portable TV without a tuner.

Then spent £2000 on an Olivetti PC and it was only an 8086, floppy disk based!

Isn't it fascinating to look back at our tentative steps as the PC evolved.... The now generation won't understand the struggle but the fact is if "we" never supported the evolution the PC would not be where it is today. We were the pioneers :smile_anim:

I remember the old BBC computers at school and the massive floppy discs! :lol:

I used my Dads Spectrum to play games when I was younger. I think that was the first computer I used at home, then I got an Amiga.
