They are around the same size, maybe the gold colour makes them standout more?

The belts work fine remembering they are designed for a harness as well. I did initially try them around the seat but it looked wrong.

Missing from the fake engine is the Ferrari logo. I did enquire about changing the rocker covers for second-hand Ferrari one's but the £1100 cost each is a tad steep.

Chrome Ferrari logo's are about £110 each but again i'm not paying that..... So i opted for these

These will stick on top of the rockers but i don't want them red so I've bought this

I took the glass to a glass/ mirror shop to have it cut by 5mm but they can't do it because the glass is toughened BangHead.gif

All i can do now is trim the grills either side of the glass, get it wrong i'm in real trouble.

Things are getting a bit more serious... I have no option now, modify the grill cover or don't fit the new glass.

I feel more at ease now I've found some new one's online just in case i muck it up, but at £115 each i hope not. So today i cut one side 50/ 50 good and crap job but the glass now fits although it will need spacers fitted to raise it to the same height as the grille's and move it away from the engine.

I've ordered some spacers and a trim cover to hide the cut, in addition I've stripped down the gear change ready for the short shifter which I've already bought but it's to cold to fiddle around with that today.

Things have moved on a bit... Since I'm keeping the current engine cover i decided to give it the final dressing...

I'm really struggling to remove this circlip

I've also had the leather gear surround profeshionally stitched just in case i can't use the H-gate

Now I'm waiting for some perspex spacers to lift the glass away from the engine. If needs be I'll cut the one's and the current engine window but if i do i can't sell it.

Best way to remove that washer is by getting a thin flat blade behind it and slowly prying it from lots of angles. They are normally a once use item that is just pushed in to place... They can come off if your careful though

I did try that but the bolt it holds is spring loaded so i can't get a decent hit. Anyway using a blade i just managed to get a decent grip and it's out. Today i finished fitting the shift and there's no gear slop like it had before but i haven't tried it running yet.

With this I'm going to use the leather gear cover rather than the H-gate which i need to get machined.
