SMARTLY
Can anybody recommend one? I've got my winter wheels and tyres up for sale from the Focus and a guy interested is asking about a courier, I've tried ebay and a google search but found some bad ones I guess I'd need to wrap them well ( cardboard and bubble wrap ) even though they are steels? Rich
I've used these guys - https://www.paisleyfreight.com/alloy-wheel-courier
SMARTLY
They are one of the ones that have some bad reviews as well as good. One said wheels weren't delivered and no refund
parthiban
I sold some stuff a while back and the buyer arranged a courier using a site called Shiply I think - I don't know much about the experience but the guy who turned up was decent enough and the stuff was delivered undamaged so I guess it worked in that instance. SMARTLY
Sent off a request to Shiply, they send you four quotes in 15 minutes apparently. First one £96 Also, sent an email to Simpson Transport who I've seen a couple of reviews for, they wrap them in a blanket and strap them up so no cardboard or bubble wrap required from me. SMARTLY
So offers so far: £96 £75 £76 £51 £96 £63 plus the £96 has reduced his to £77 I reckon it should be £25 to £30. It's about 170 miles so 3 hours obeying speed limit.
Rich
I would have thought £25-£30 would only cover fuel, you've then got vehicle maintenance, wages etc. How much did Simpson Transport quote?
SMARTLY
Had a few more quotes from Simply, £42 is the cheapest now. No reply yet from Simpson.
SMARTLY
Simpson came back this morning with £65 for a 10 day service but in the meantime the guy has lost interest / wanted the wheels and tyres too cheap.
Rich
TBH I would just do cash on collection, it's easier.
SMARTLY
Will they are cash on collection, but I've now reduced them from £275 to £225. Was looking for a courier to try and help the guy.
