Viking
Then that means it's his responsibility, not mine. I don't need people coming knocking on my door complaining "The headlight bulb has failed 6 weeks after you sold it to me!" or "It failed an MOT on the condition of the brake pads" or suchlike. The fact that it passed its MOT in November last year will mean nothing to anyone but the government and the Police I reckon.
Geoffers
I'm the same when getting rid of a car - just too much bother privately. Putting a cost on my time and any hassle is worth it to me. So.... the replacement? I know you're keeping us in suspenders for now but just write it below, I won't tell anyone. Viking
Very clean and tidy. Way less miles and heated seats that work this time. No sunroof to leak, aircon that cools, 10bhp more, Android Auto built in, keyless entry and push button start, stop start system all in all a nice place to be really. Rich
1 hour ago, Tony said: Velcro it to the dash It's more for when the fob is kept in the house. If it's in range of these devices they're using to transmit the signal thieves can unlock and start the car remotely. I've got a signal blocking pouch for the Lexus. Apparently putting it in the microwave or fridge blocks it too.
Geoffers
I must remember to do this with my keyfob. Can't beat changing your car and the heated seats in winter are a godsend.
liner33
Keyless car theft is massively over stated . Yes it happens but car theft rates today are pretty low historically . I had an immobiliser put on the BMW but I don't bother doing anything with my other keys . Any professional car thief wont be looking for cars like mine or others mentioned in all honestly. You clearly enjoyed your last Yeti I'm sure this one will be as good it looks cracking
Tony
I agree... Keyless offers more security not less. Yes it can be hijacked or hacked but the effort and intelligence needed exceeds most steal for frill low lifes.
