adam_r Posted January 27, 2016 Report Share Posted January 27, 2016 Ok have an issue here that bugs me when i drive my parents car. Its a 54 plate honda accord exec 2.0 petrol. When driving along one of the nearside brakes squeak on every rotation of the wheel. Not overly loud, but enough that i can hear it during town driving with the windows down. To add to this.. When driving along normally the car is fine, no bumps, knocks etc. Then i start the brake and a 'thudding' occurs.. Almost like your running over painted lines on the road... Again in time i think with the wheel rotation. So i took the front pads and discs off and everything looks ok. Pushed the piston in and let it come out.. It was free and not binding. I wire brushed the carriers, greased the back of the pad with copper slip. Short of buying new discs and pads.... Can you guys think of anything else i may have missed?
