Home Insurance (Contents) Excess

Always read the small print on insurance policies.

I wouldn't be surprised if the policy for Rich would state that there is a total sum cap value to claim for items belonging in 'outbuildings' ie sheds and garages not attached to the house, and for Tony that the dog has to be micro chipped and kept on a lead at all times. ...

Do you need proof of sale to claim?..... Reason i ask is i insured the dog this week and she is covered for theft but the insurer hasn't asked for any proof she exists?

They'll ask for that if you claim - have you insured the house yet?!!

Nick, yeah I need to read it properly but I don't have anything of real value in the sheds.
