parthiban
Do you think it's free to update? Depends how old it is, I think some of the newer ones have lifetime updates included. Cheaper to go buy a new one... Tom Tom that is, not an Accord.
SHAHZ
Having previously had LEDs in my last car the yellow was starting to bug me! Got round to ordering some LEDs a few days ago, some turned up today..... Under door Looking acreoss at the driver door Glove box Vanity Lights Boot Light The cable on the festoon was not long enough so i pulled off the wires from the spare fitment pushed into the plug and wrapped in insulation tape! Its only a 48 led dome festoon as i couldn't get hold of a 98 led one like i had in the lex... will keep an eye out and replace when I find one! Will take some pics once it gets dark!! Just the dome lights left to go, fingers crossed they come in the next few days!
Rich
They look good, where did you buy them from?
parthiban
Nice work! Makes quite a difference all round. I still have the 2 LED strips running the full length of the boot in the IS - use the car so rarely now it surprises me when I open the boot at how bright it is. Still also have all the bits somewhere to light up the front footwells - don't think I'll ever get round to fitting those though

parthiban
Loooool I forgot about those, I still got them lying around somewhere too Lol glad I'm not the only one - I have so many bits I've bought for the Lexus which are still not on the car! Even have a set of the illuminated scuff plates, really need to put those on sometime soon!

parthiban
How many LEDs in that festoon? That's seriously bright! Looool either that it stick em on eBay!! Haha no chance, this has been 10 years waiting, couldn't possibly sell them on before they go in the car, even if it is just for 5 mins
Rich
I bought some LEDs for the rear number plate lights on the Corolla and they were alot better. I might replace the bulbs on the Accord, not keen on yellow.
Tony
Not putting a downer on the topic but how safe are these? Reason i say is i had a Lexus owner in the centre with a car fitted with LED angle eyes and after closing the bonnet they caught on fire
SHAHZ
Yeah I remember that, that was the led strips that caused the fire... If I remember right there wasn't an in line fuse on the one that caught alight. The normal led bulb replacements are fine, have used em for years with no problems! SHAHZ
Well the car went into the dealers at the end of november as the rear o/s doors soft close function had stopped working.... part was not available in the UK or germany and was on back order..... took it in on monday as the part had arrived, however also had a small niggle with the driver mirror for which they had to order another part, again on back order but is coming from Germany so was told on Tuedday it would be here in a few days.... Dont mind and as nice as a 63 plate 3 series touring (118d) is.... i miss my car!! the level of refinement in the E60 is so noticable when i sit in another car now! Tony
Is the build quality questionable with the 118d, seems like a lot of issues?
SHAHZ
Is the build quality questionable with the 118d, seems like a lot of issues?Oops just realised what I typed... 3 series 118d  it's a 318d....errrm it seems a fairly solid car as did the 116d I had late last year, just in comparison to the 5, despite it being older, is much more refined! Well I'm getting my car back tomorrow.... Without the mirror fixed.... Looks Like the part won't be here till next week and they have the current loan car booked for someone else on Monday ...... Pain in the a$$ as it means having to go back again!!
Tony
Well i suppose it's a statement the parts are not in stock, that being the parts don't historically fail so why stock them.

Tony
How long will the fitting take, is it a wait while it's done or a leave the car for the day jobbie.
SHAHZ
How long will the fitting take, is it a wait while it's done or a leave the car for the day jobbie.I'm hoping that it's a wait while I'm there, seeing as though they now know what they are doing as they have already taken it all apart once before! Was a nice drive home through London in my car though nice clear roads!!
