Goacher65
Hi there. I have recently purchased myself a Mk1 1991 Eunos. I am planning to take it to 'the ring' at the end of july and have a few things to do before I take it. I have got myself some Spax 45mm lowering springs, 15" BBS's and planning to put uprated brakes on it. Before I go I am planning to get it taken to WIM to get the geometry sorted on it. Is there any work that people can suggest as a must before having it done? I'm slightly worried that one of the eccentric bolt/washers look wildly out of place and has had what looks like an m8 bolt replacing the standard bolt. Is this something that can be done at the time or must be replaced beforehand? If so, any ideas where to get the bolts from? Any other general information regarding standard practice before having the geometry done would be most helpful as I've had a quick search on here but couldn't find anything... Thanks, Howard
Tony
Hello Howard All i would suggest is be sure the suspension is in good order and check the roll bar/s drop links, other than that the 5's are pretty much bullet proof, the adjuster bolt we will sort. Goacher65
Ok I shall do. Thanks for the advice. Will either be in the next few weeks if it passes the MOT or in July when it goes back on the road for summer. What notice do you need to book it in? hms
Howard, you could also help Tony by spraying the adjusters with WD40 over several days ahead of going to WIM. Makes Tonys life easier. Tony iirc carries spare adjusters for the MX5's so you should have no problem if an adjuster requires replacement. Lucky you going to the 'ring. Enjoy, I know I did. h
Tony
Sound advice but if they do snap i have replacements. As for notice just a few days should be fine.
