Not a huge amount to report , had a Cobra 4100 cat 1 alarm/immobiliser fitted , got the installer to leave the bonnet circuit unconnected so that i could fit a hidden in-line switch myself allowing me to arm the alarm but leave the bonnet open which i do a lot in the garage or at shows etc

I sprayed the plate mounts with black plasticote (which i can just peel off if i change my mind) and fitted a smaller numberplate to try and improve the front looks

Looking good. Lots of subtle mods add up to a great looking motor :)

Always loved the R34 and Jap cars generally ever since i played Gran Turismo on the Playstation back in 1997 :o

Skyline was the car to have.

Actually ive slept on it and dont think i'll bother , its a lot of cash £500 and these carbon bonnets move around a lot when you are driving , even with bonnet pins , plus the fit is rarely 100% and I'm not only fussy but a bit OCD when it comes to cars

No updates for a while but a long story

I went to renew the hicas ball joints , they didnt seem too worn but the split rubbers would be a fail next mot , problem was whoever did them last time bodged them in , not only did they make a bit of a mess of the hub they also didnt bother to fit the retaining circlip and used silicone sealant instead

So instead of popping out the old and fitting new it was going to be a hub off job meaning I may as well refurb the lot with new bushes etc while im there

So in the meantime I decided to eliminate the hicas with a locking kit from Conceptua tuning, there are a few ways that people "lock" the hicas up , many feel it gives a better feedback and a more solid feel but i think a lot of the time there is probably an existing fault in the hicas if it feels vague , I really want to retain it . There is only this kit and another from driftworks that eliminate the whole system including the ball joints .

Even though I set the length to the old one I still performed a "ghetto" toe check

Got a bit more work to do before i can get the geo redone

Seen the DW kit many times from the S14's in BDC and the Skylines GarageD evolve, i really like the kit.The GarageD kit i think is superior simply because the stress pick up points all be them harsh work better.
