phipck Posted September 30, 2012 Report Share Posted September 30, 2012 not had any problems myself in the past, but they are much more exposed and accessable on a MTB than they are on a car, so they were removed every couple of weeks to make sure noting was caught behind them plus they were removed to dry out if they became wet and muddy. No easy feat when you are talking about a car with wings and wheels blocking access. So not a great idea for the average joe, but great if you are a committed tinkerer!
