  1. Injector spray pattern could do with more work! h
  2. Whats the price differential between these and the adjustable height. If it's not a lot forget the fixed and go for the Gaz Gold Pro. h
  3. ...It made its motorsport debut in the 1963 Tour de France road race, finishing second while being driven by Carlo Maria Abate and Lucien Bianchi. The sports car - number 5095 - went on to win three competitions in 1964 - the Rallye de Picardie, Rallye du Limousin and Les Andelys hillclimb. It continued to race... I wonder how much of it is still original? h
  4. Photos's? Not of the potholes but of the car trip! h
  5. So wht's new? Baked Alaska. That's thermal insulation, to the ice cream, and edible! h
  6. Unless you use one of these insurnce companies that insure against brakdown. I had a spring broke, they would only pay for that one spring to be replaced. They even acknowledged that best practice demanded replacement of both spring, but they refused to do so. Had to pay for the second spring myself! (This is on the Smart, not Lexie!) h
  7. would have been better digging the wheels out so they had a ramp to run up! h
  8. Nice one Bazza, well done H
  9. Proof would be for tony to do an alinment, print out, open a door and print out. See what changes and by how much! H
  10. Watched it again,no idea! Suppose it's why you do what you do and I don't! H
  11. Or we could just book dry track days! Anyway, it's all good learning as we cannot drive in the dry all the time! H
  12. Lazza, Sean and I took the Hornet to Stowe today for a Lotus on Track day. Day started out wet and slippy, and the left/rights at the back of the circuit were pure understeer. Sean managed ot outbrake himself at the end of the back straight, and had to use the run off, lucky it was there! At one point I braked for the chicane at the end of the start/finish straight and managed to lock all 4 wheels up! The afternoon session was dry, the wind had blown the dampness off the track, the whole bottom of the course was by throttle only, apart from one dab to settle the car, no brakes needed after the turn in at the end of the back straight! You could throw the Hornet into the corner and it went. brilliant. On my last go first lap out an Elise decided it wanted to go into the kitty litter, course red flagged for recovery, whilst back in the pits, I was told that a Marshall had seen a 4" bolt drop off the Hornet, I wouldnt be allowed out until the car was sorted and safe. We jacked the car up, couldn't see anything, the Marshall brought the bolt in, didn't look like something off the Hornet, not rusty enough! We heard an elise was having problems with a loose alternator so we assumed it was his, the Marshall must have seen me kick it up as I ran over it. Anyway, last few laps were done with a little restraint, just a little, in case a wheel or something fell off, but no problems. All in all, a great day, well organised by LoT, great bunch of people ro drive with, and the Hornet, what can I say, she's a brilliant little car. :bananapopcorn: I'll see if there is some video to post. H
  13. We thought that watching it last night , i reckon something broke on the rear lhs the way the back of the car seems to rise and parts were coming off before he started to roll Anyone know what the chain flapping around was?? Was it the video cables wrapped in spiral wrap? H
  14. Woolies is another place for 'odd' bits. http://www.woolies-trim.co.uk/DEFAULT.ASPX h
  15. Pieter, It would be good if you could get to wim and experience the place yourself, however that is probably too difficult. I'd ask around the Belgian forums, see if there is anyone experienced, who has good feedback, who understands, and can do geometry, You should get a print out of the before and after settings, which you can post here for comments/approval. Don't go to anyone offering tracking, that's a waste of money and won't help. I'm sure if you ask nicely, Tony will give you a few questions to ask of the company to check and see if they are up to the job, if they are already not on the forum. Let us know how you get on. H
  16. Doesn't mean it's true just because it's said to come from wikkileaks. More fuel for the gullible! h
  17. Nope, I think it's self preservation! H
  18. Don't forget the kickback to the uni! H
  19. The slower times in the morning were not wanting to do the agricultural bit, so was driving comfortably, tiptoe'ing around the circuit. My confidence in the dry, Yes, I know where that comes from as well! I did a Lotus on Track day at Bedford, and met one of the chaps that I sprinted against, (he was always first in my class in the sprints, I was always the last!) After some persuasion, as I am not a good passenger, he took me for a couple of laps in his lightly modified Elise, eye opening to say the least. Made me think that there was so much more available grip wise than I was using. Put the brave trousers on, and that was it. (After this, at the kink in the back straight of the Bedford Gp circuit, i was as fast as I could get the Hornet to, around 90mph, and slight braking to go through the kink, the Elise was 110 and kink, what kink? He kept the power on all the way through! Memorable. H
