  1. Moss do Jackson racing, or BBR in the states. Bought mine second hand off the Nutz forum. h
  2. I'm too thick to understand, but: "but its instantaneous velocity varies between zero, when it is touching the ground, and twice the axle velocity as it passes through the half-way point." You cannot have one part of the wheel velocity at zero as it touches the ground and another part at twice the axle velocity as it passes through the half way point. If one is zero then the other should be zero! So what you are saying is that the lower portion of the wheel rotates to the rear then has the forward momentum of the axle subtracted from it. The top of the wheel rotates forward and then has the forward momentum of the axle added to it. Does that make sense? I am thinking off the similarity of the doppler effect heard in police sirens, where the pitch changes as the car approaches and the goes away? h
  3. If the worse comes to the worse, could always use a nut! If you do that, use the nut on the outside, so if the nut comes off the bolt stays in place. h
  4. If you want something that shows bullfighting at it's worst, to show people what it really is about then Chris Rea wrote the music to a short film about it, "Bullfighting", but it comes as part of the Santo Spirito CD set with inclusive DVD. Done by an anti bullfighting group. Towards the end of the film it gets very horrific as they kill the bull, whilst the "humans" seem to have no feeling for what has just happened. Not a video for the kids! h
  5. Here you are Tony: http://www.wheels-inmotion.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=609&hl=%2Btoilet+%2Bdoor h
  6. Tony, get the engine/mechanical bits sorted first. The last thing you need is to have the bodywork sorted and then drop a spanner on it, or scratch it from the buttons on your overalls. Plus it gives you more time to choose, paint, wrap; paint, wrap; wrap, paint! Is the car to be used for WIM sponsorship or is the car personal? If WIM what about a matte version of the WIM blue? h
  7. I cannot see the accuracy of this anywhere. Accurracy may not be the problem though, repeatability would be important, provided you had calibrated the gauge to a known accurate gauge. £10 sounds too cheap! H
  8. I remember at one of Tony's open days, there was a Cobra there, not sure if original or fake, but when he put his foot down you could see the whole car twist! h
  9. Will the chassis take that HP? h
  10. There is an article in one of the Kit Car mags this month about a Countach, it think it's there because they were fiting a TVR engine to it. h
  11. Anyone answer this? Walk up a hill usually works! H
  12. Nice one Tiony, Hope it all goes well for you. H
  13. Only 160 miles? Built in 1990? Off the road since 1992! Steering rack loose, probably some other things as well? That is going to be a whole pile of problems! I suspect those photo's are from 1990/2 and not recent... 'benefit from a respray'. h
  14. Hi guy, You seem to have tried everything apart from Gaz Gold! First off, the disclaimer, Gaz has sponsored the Hornet, the PlanetMX5 track car, and has a set of the older Gaz pro shocks which have been rebuilt as Gaz Gold Pro. supplied foc. I also have a set of Gaz Gold on my own supercharged mark 1. On the Hornet it is set up with tonys track setting and the shocks turned up harder than the road settings. Corners nice and level, and is great on track, we dont bother to change the suspension settings now, too lazy, so she rides hard on the road, about the same as the bilstiens I had. On my own car, fast road/track settings with the suspension set to slightly harder, so have a balance between comfort and handling. Regarding noise, you will hear more of these complaints as there have been more sold. When there have been problems Gazman has been accessable to resolve problems. H
  15. What a load of rubbish! Am i supposed to know who the people were at the end? Is it something to do with the Olympics? H
  16. Is there a trailer underneath that? H
  17. You say a spring was changed, just one or both on the axle? H
  18. Doubt it. There's no mention of Audi or Le Mans on their website H Just had. Quick poke round t'internet, seems it's Turbo Diesel Injected!
  19. Great video about Audi and Le Mans on itunes currently free. Also in you tube H
  20. The mx5 standard are rubber, but the Steve Heath links I have will twist, die to the rose joints. No up or down movement though, as expected! H
  21. Surely is they are not rose jointed, but drubber bushed, there should be no movement! Twist or otherwise? H Or am I wrong again!
  22. Are they rose jointed? H
