  1. I guess that's what he means, but they seem to be in a priority type order - which should be fine
  2. Not for a 22 year old on a provisional Mind you he passed his theory today after studying for 3 days
  3. It's 61 bhp, ideal for a learner / new driver. Group 1 insurance.
  4. I've just helped my son buy a Citroen C2 SX for hin to practice his driving skills. I bought him a car about 4 years ago but he went off to Uni before he took his test so I sold it. We have bought this car from ebay, we went and checked it out last weekend before bidding and apart from all four wheel trims having hit the car once or more times it was very clean. One lady owner ( yes I know ), 25,000 miles in five years and looks and drives nice, owner selling it not a dealer. Did an HPI check just to be sure. Got it for a good price. Pick it up Saturday. So the question for you guys anybody know anything about them and got any tips? It'll need tracking checking as a minimum due to the state of the wheel trims. Any common problems or things to look at sooner rather than later? Do they have timing belts? It's a 1.1 engine and manual box. One of the two keys wasn't working so I guess it's try battery replacement first otherwise a trip to Citoen to ask about reprogramming or replacement. any tips?
  5. Probably, maybe worth a call. You can buy a kit to do it yourself. Trouble is if it's started to crack you need to get it done sooner rather than later.
  6. Insurance will usually fix it free of charge ( with AutoGlass ) ask them? Doesn't affect no claims or excess.
  7. Always a bit strange on a first post Like keys locked in the boot or inside the car.
  8. Surely they should not be fitting anything in the bathroom until it's all dried aout?
  9. Evian advert plus similar: Please wait a few moments for Video to Load! Please wait a few moments for Video to Load! Please wait a few moments for Video to Load!
  10. I heard about a new Corsa that had similar problems, basically the steering rack was stigg and Vauxhall reckoned it needed running in. Not suprisingly the owner refused so they suggested fitting a non-standard low friction steering rack at Vauxhall cost.
  11. If my tyre went like that I think I would prefer it to go down than stay like that and me carry on driving
  12. It started it's life looking a bit like this ( well some of it did ): http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/www/c...rgeId=935219104
  13. Because they are within spec. ?
  14. Not a clue, have you tried the owners club? Also woth a post on LOC as a few there have experience of such things.
  15. Does look frightening. Sometimes things like that can go with little or no warning. I had a Fiesta Turbo from new and it had done abour 25k miles, was driving to work one day down a 70 mph dual carriageway braked to slow at a roundabout and got a dreadful noise. I was literally 200 metres from a ford dealer, stopped and asked him to have a look and basically the one front disc was worn through. No warning lights, no squeal and no noise or brake fade. When he tried to take the one disc off it quite literally fell apart. Lucky I guess it happened where it did. It hadn't been picked up at the previous service.
  16. Left hand side is the same and at the top at the end of the road, top of station road on the left ( now flats ) was shops and North Way start has changed a bit. First shop on left used to be a supermarket where I worked weekends / holidays until I was about 15 that's all flats as well now. I might have to have a drive through next time I come to visit my mum, all I've seen is a quick trip to M&S. There used to be a Co-op in the High Street I worked there for a while to and delivered groceries on the old fashioned bike. Now I'm showing my age
  17. and I haven't been near there for over 20 years
  18. is no. 4 Station Road in Ricky and North Way going of to the right?
  19. Thought one in the first picture was going the wrong way :eek
  20. Will these be of benefit to a standard car?
  21. Example: 185 65 R 13 91 V 185 :- Section width 65 :- Aspect ratio R :- Radial 13 :- Rim diameter 91 :- load rating V :-speed rating. and the extra letter on the end is tyre compound marking. Not usre on the speed rating why you have D, J and W M = 130km/h or 81 mph N = 140km/h or 87 mph P = 150km/h or 93 mph Q = 160km/h or 99 mph R = 170km/h or 106 mph S = 180km/h or 112 mph T = 190km/h or 118 mph U = 200km/h or 124 mph H = 210km/h or 130 mph V = 240km/h or 149 mph W = 270km/h or 168 mph Y = 300km/h or 186 mph Z = in excess of 240klm or 149 mph If the guy at the tyre doesn't understand it then I'd go somewhere else;)
  22. Well I ended up speaking to the guy that calibrates the cars for the Supertracker machines. It's in mm.
  23. Does that help Tony? If not I'll call them and ask
