  1. I thought you were running after market rims. Didn't know there was a problem with ford ones. You can get the kit here, choose you vehicle and it will give you a price - http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/products/Pro...de=EIBE5.81260K Just checked and they've taken the ford option off, you may have to phone them for a quote.
  2. Out of interest what offset are your wheels and tyre profile? Tony - Is this more of a problem with the MK3 than the MK2? When I get me 17's am I going to have any camber problems with mine?
  3. I'm not too sure but are the toe settings correct do you have a print out of the measurements that were taken? Maybe the 18's have thrown the camber out too much, you can buy adjustable kits for the mondeo for about 120 quid. Welcome to WIM as well
  4. That's the one I use and yes it's very useful...
  5. If that had come right out it could've been nasty, especially on a motorway :graduated:
  6. Do you think it was just a one off then if you haven't experienced this before? I've been looking at some lower arms for mine already poly bushed made by deflex. The ball joints are bolted on though, is this ok to do or should they be riveted?
  7. That don't look too clever! Did they bring the car in for this problem or something else?
  8. Thanks Tony, will definitely get them then :rolleyes_anim:
  9. Thanks, I will be getting some then... Take it these are tamper proof as well, as in no one could let your tyres down unless the extension is put on?
  10. Not sure, these ones though - http://www.rochfordtyres.co.uk/product.asp...History=related
  11. Worth spending an extra 15quid to get them then, finished the look off as mine all have different size rubber valves! :rolleyes_anim: How do you pump the tyres up though, I assume you get an adaptor or something as I only use me portable compressor, not the ones in petrol stations. Also are they reusable?
  12. Always liked the look of these and as I'm getting new wheels thinking of getting some. Just wanna know if these are prone to leaking or should I stick with the normal rubber ones?
  13. I've never had this problem but I always thought it was either warped discs or pads as said already...
  14. But I thought there would've been some kind of indication on the disc no matter how tight the bind is?
  15. The garages that have sold these, do they know they're not legal? They must do as I'd imagine they check the E marks. Probably be more worried if they were bought from small independent tyre places
  16. Read about this earlier on MEG. Not good, made someone a nice bit of money I'd imagine!!
  17. Good observation there. Did their brake disc not glow and smell of burning then? I know mine did when I wound the piston out too much on one side!
  18. Thank you for your time researching sizes and costs for me. I will pm Scarface the details (color size) for additional ideas in the logo construction. Not a problem mate
  19. Here's my quick design I knocked up Tony, obviously the space on the right could be used for something if desired You can open the image in it's own window to show the full size, just right click on it. Depends what browser you have though!
  20. I know that corner and I don't go over 30/35 taking it, it's sharper than it looks!!

    A question for Tony

I was joking (probably didn't come across like that on the forum), they're cheap enough to be honest and personally the first time I've had a part worn tyre fitted was today. I'd much prefer to buy new ones, especially now I know how important it is to make sure they're paired properly etc...

    A question for Tony

So you're saying that when a german car is set it needs to be loaded first to lets say the average amount of weight the car would normally have in it? Did that make sense! I've only used kwik fit once and that was to fit an exhaust when I was on holiday as it had snapped from the manifold! I have to admit they were helpful and did a good job but wouldn't trust them to align a car! Tony have you been to Croxley Tyres and seen the kwik fit invoice they have pinned up detailing their price breakdown for fitting a tyre? Comes to about 15quid! The loading puts the suspension in a mid point of it's active range..... more or less! The problem is that the target data is expecting this loading so without it the calibration is worthless.... My personal opinion of KF is subjective and open to liability since this club is so visible now.... Although i am free to express an opinion of other peoples experiences without litigation. I have never been to Croxley tyres but i do know the owner..... He is a really nice chap! So do you tell the owners the car needs to be loaded so it can be set correctly, what is their response to this? Yes friendly fella, maybe you could sort out a WIM discount!

    shocks naffed

I think there's a post on MEG about someone who got a bald patch and it may be down to the shocks. But then my front shocks were knackered (ask Tony!) and I didn't get any unusual tyre wear. If you're gonna change the shocks might as well lower it
  24. Thanks ER, may be it was due to the high reflective of the dark colour. I wash it every 3 or 4 days with water. Photography is my other serious hobby. Every 3 or 4 days, wish I had the time to do that But then your weather is probably very different to ours and I bet it don't get covered in dirt/dust and all the nasty bird poo we get!!
