  1. That don't sound too clever! Not a job for the driveway then!
  2. Nice one mate, I bet they'd be recruiting you soon...
  3. Yep sure has, although mine's stopped working!
  4. In conditions like that I wouldn't even drive unless I really had to...
  5. Mondeos aren't prone to rusting though are they, the escort on the other is a different story...
  6. I take it that was a MK2, looks it? As you know one of my captive nuts sheared along with the subframe bolt, had to go through the floor to get it out. I suppose I should get a new nut welded on but it's been fine the past 18 months. That's why I was dreading it when I thought me diff had gone and the frame would need dropping. Another reason I'm putting off doing the front ARB bushes cos if a bolt snaps it's probably gonna cost me! The other 3 bolts were ok but were only hand tight. The bloke who sorted it for me put loads of locktite on them with no copper grease so I dunno what they'd be like to undo now!
  7. They made a mess of that then! Obviously thought they knew better!! But you're right, some people never listen...
  8. Cool glad it's sorted Swapping the wheels won't have any effect on the geo and no they're not balanced for a certain direction...

    new tyres....

That's interesting...so why would they want to balance the rear wheels? When I bought some tyres online and got them fitted at croxley tyres they didn't ask if I wanted the wheels swapped over. I asked for them to be fitted to the front and they did just that
  10. I'm working on it mate, will have it fixed asap ! Have you tried editing your albums via the "My Controls" menu instead ? Tried that and that seems to work ok!

    new tyres....

I always thought the new tyres went on the rear to prevent oversteer as they wouldn't of been scrubbed in. TBH though I've never bothered doing that and have never had a problem. May be different for 4WD though?
  12. As Tony said if the geo is ok then it's the tyres. I noticed my steering wheel sat at a funny angle after having new tyres on put on. Played with the pressure and swapping them around and the steering wheel changed position...but now I have me new wheels on the steering wheel is dead centre :rolleyes_anim:
  13. I can't edit me albums now, I click 'myalbums' and nothing happens! Can add photos to existing albums if I go into the gallery though...

  16. Is it just possible the tyre was under inflated before, so closing the gap? Funny you mention that as it was actually over inflated, I think so anyway. 40psi on the fronts and 28psi on the rear. They haven't had the car long though and this is what the previous owner had put them at. They've now put the fronts on 32psi...
  17. It's the same tyre before and after it went to the garage. This is why I got confused cos if there was a gap beforehand surely they would've seen it! Also they have said that both the fronts are like it, so it must be ok, just confused me cos they said there was no gap prior to the garage looking...
  18. Well I told them it's nothing to worry about but they still reckon the gap weren't there before it went into the garage. So it could just be they never noticed before and now they have!
  19. Got a few more pics, here's one, looks like it is a rim protector. I weren't too sure as I had some on me federal super steels that were very big, but they didn't give a gap like this.
  20. They have problems with the car drifting to the left and the steering wheel is offset to the left. I'm not sure what they did with the wheel and nor is the owner but they said since it came back from the garage it has had this gap. I think there's a problem with the tyre, but the photo isn't very clear.
  21. There's abit of a gap between the tyre and the rim. I'm not sure meself but the person who it belongs to is abit concerned as it didn't look like this prior to the garage working on it!
  22. What do you think, someone on another forum said it came back from the garage like this and was ok beforehand?
