Hi Tony - true it's early days - still getting used to it, and will continue to do so over the coming weeks - then I'll have it all re-checked as per usual after having new Eibachs fitted (as they settle down). I just wanted to make sure the settings I PM'ed are not extreme in your view, as I explore the handling... ... one thing is for sure even now - it a vastly improved and more stable car after the lowering and geo... it even rides better .... :-)

  3. Cheers - makes sense - faster turn in and heavier steering are not a problem. The printout/settings I have is titled " Fast Road (Oversteer) " is this, then, the same as your " Evo " or a milder setup based on Fast Road with some of the camber and toe alternatives dialled in? As I say, it seems fun with my non-aggressive driving style so far - but I did read the Evo was not generally for the faint hearted ;-) .... so maybe wouldn't have been my first choice as it is a daily driver winter and summer. I'll PM you a pic of the print-out.... Thanks again for all your time!
  4. Cheers Tony - will get that booked in for a re-check as/when things settle. As a daily driver (& never used track) what sort of difference (other than oversteer at the limit) should be noticed between oversteer/evo setting and your normal fast road setting or even Mazda's stock lowered setting ... I might not always be driver of the car and so it maybe best with something less focused (didn't realise fast road (oversteer) and your evo settings were the same) - although so far I find it fine apart from that bit of extra effort/concentration needed at the wheel sometimes on long straight runs... others may not think so! Thanks.
  5. Hi Chaps @ WIM, I recently was in to have the Eibach Pro Kit fitted to my 2008 MX5 NC 1.8 Roadster-Coupe and the Geo afterwards, of course. All going very well 200 odd miles later - absolutely enjoying the new feel of the car. It just feels alive, whereas before it was, I think, half asleep - well that's my simplified description. I was looking to make my MK3 feel like my old nicely sorted MK2... and that is very much the case now :-) I opted for the Fast Road (Oversteer) set up - as I wanted the car to be a bit more 'pointy' certainly this is the case. Just wanted to ask how much different this setup is to your other Fast Road settings which I guess are Fast Road (Understeer) and just Fast Road - would I notice anything different in day to day driving? Which one would feel best/most restful on a long motorway run for example? It takes (and might well be in my imagination) a little bit more effort correcting against the camber of some roads now on long straight stretches... this is very slight if anything at all and not exactly problematic. I am assuming that differences between your MX5 NC Fast Road Setups are subtle... Also any are there any disadvantages with the Fast Road with Oversteer settings over the others which I am, perhaps, not aware of yet - such as increased tyre wear or any earlier than normal break-away of rear grip if I was pushing the car way too hard? I am calm driver - but always good to know. I'll be booking some time on the ramps over the next month or so anyway for a checkup (Joe recommended 1000 miles) following the Eibachs and Geo should anything need adjusting after things have 'settled' Cheers for now.   6. Hi, Car: 2008, MX5 NC 1.8SE Hardtop (Coupe) Thanks to WIM I have had my last 3 cars geo'ed (MR2, RX8, now MX5 NC)...and all much to the better. Anyway, I am sure this has been discussed in length, but just wanted a quick summary as I am now considering having the NC lowered at some stage this year from standard - but I also want to keep the ride as compliant as possible and ride height on right side of sensible. From what I've read there are different ride heights available depending on which springs are fitted - there are ones which lower by 30mm (and this was an option from Mazda too) and others which lower by more. Which ones are available from WIM? I don't think I want to go more than 30mm lower. I also gather there's a choice of spring/settings depending on the model: coupe or soft top. Is it possible to see the total cost of such a task - all-in including new geo and the actual springs? Cheers! Adam.
