  1. apparently the wrong bolts where used. the guys fitted them but didnt realise the shape of the bolt differed to that of the wheel, (dome , cone etc) and they all sheard off just at the head point (max load point).
  2. this may be a stab in the dark, but check both drive shafts. they could have possible damage causing this 'vibration' some cars have a drive shaft ballancer which is a rubber 'wheel' that sits on the drive shaft to stop this happening.
  3. is that the only thing wrong you can see with it ? if it is i will return to the garage and ask them to bring it back in towards 0' Well no the backs still wrong.... Front cambers not adjustable although you can get kits for it. i didnt realise the front wasnt adjustable either....

  5. not really, spec sheet at the top says camber amount on left and right wheels.
  6. Tony. did a bit of digging on the accord forum and found a member who has got adjustable camber arms on the rear to sort this issue.. so i guess i will need to do this to sort the rear tyre wear... but still not sure on the steering 'feel' on the way to work this morning i was playing with the car, and it seems like: first few degrees of steering turn doesnt feel very responsive, then a little more turn and it suddenly turns in quite aggressively. i would almost say its like i have silly amounts of front negative front camber, so as soon as the steering is turned it wants to carry on going... kinda like: /----\ (straight) |----\ (turn right) /----| (turn left) then its like struggling to get back to the /---\ like your having to fight againt the camber on both wheels to straighten the wheels. again, i may be getting this very wrong. i just know something doesnt feel right.
  7. interesting, but looks very different from my camber arms. the accord has double wishbone suspension all round by the way
  8. pressure is always kept at 32 psi. maybe 34 if im doing a long run. rear camber is a known issue with the 7th gen accords, adjustable arms are out there but cost £150. it will be something i will consider in the future.
  9. also as another spanner in the works and not wanting to start ANOTHER thread.... can some one shed some light on how my old rear tyres ended up like this : the above pic was of the OFR wheel with my breaker bar laying on top to show the odd wear (left side of the tyre was on the inside).. the exact same this happpened on the NSR wheel too.
  10. Hello all. im hoping some one can share some light on my issue. lets start with the car. Its a 54 plate Honda accord saloon, with the 2.2 i-cdti engine in. it has factory wheels which are 17" and i have recently put some vredestien (sp) ultrac sessantas on. the wheels at 17" and are 7jj the tyres are 225/45/17 of course it needed a full setup once these new tyres where fitted so i got a local garage with a new hunter system to set the car up for me.... the following print out i received from them afterwards now my issue is... it feels like the car 'tramlines' in a straight line... the easiest way to describe is when im driving along and im driving straight its fine but if i turn either right or left it seems to require a little more effort to turn the wheel ... once the wheels have turned its quite normal, then on returning the steeling to the center, that last few degrees to get it straight seems like your require a little more effort to bring it back in line. (kind of like driving in grooves in the road) the car steers straight feels ok, but somethings not quite right. also on an aggressive turn the wheels seem to just break away without too much notice which could just be down to the tyre itself. any help or am i being a ninny ? thanks Adam
  11. I hate curbs but its that 1 second of laps concentration that costs you a weel
  12. quite tempted since its a lot cheaper than getting the wheel refurbed.. and the 'rim protector' on the vred ultrac sessanta isnt exactly that big.
  13. i wish i had a T1 like that. ultimate sleeper
  14. i wish our house prices where that cheap around here that would be in the £x,xxx, xxx mark down south!
  15. Tony. How did he manage to get such insane camber though ? i used to own a mk3 ibiza and there was no way on changing the camber to such an extent to that.. or not that i was aware of!...
  16. WTF tony! driving with your wheels at that camber must be illegal! i cant even bring myself to think of how many cj joint / drive shafts that gets through... oh, and tyres and suspension, and just about anything else to do with the drive train! that car must handle like a POS
  17. WOOP i thought i was barking up the wrong tree. nice to see i can accoasionaly get something right
  18. i may be compleatly wrong..... stretched tyres litlit the amount of sidewall flex when cornering. it also makes it easier to brake traction, which in turn = drifty time
  19. ouch ..... what tyres are those... i reconise the tread pattern but cant quite remember the name.... looks a bit like a stretched fk452....
  20. awsome and crazy camber! bet those tyres done last long
