  1. Incredibly stupid. Some people just don't understand the power of water
  2. Seems silly, chain drives are great for clean applications, but that's in direct exposure to road crap...
  3. The one time I have used 'waterless wash' was my last time. I remember taking my old car to a show and having it polished to a really good finish, I purchased some waterless wash as an easy way to clean and remove any light contamination from the drive.... Needless to say the car was covered in small swirls after the clean
  4. Really? The S2000 was made from 1999 until 2009. However I am not aware that bonnet detonation device was ever fitted or even trialled.
  5. Hail frozen on top of a local pond. Looked rather weird.
  6. Great job and as Rich said... You didn't hang around did you! Hope your can get it dialled in and handling better soon
  7. Well at least the wear indicator worked!
  8. Nope, I used to work on and maintain the SCOTT satellite communication system on the type 42,43,45s and carriers. Was a fantastic job and lots of amazing times, did that when I was 18-19.
  9. Dotn forget you are trying to slow hundreds of tons of metal. Previous experience of being on a type 45 frigate, I was told it was fast.. During sea trials, yes it was quick but was still remarkably slow to me. It would have been good for a reference point to show the deceleration

You should have kept it and done this:
  11. Rich, that's like saying make all bridges in the UK able to withstand motorway traffic, Or make all bridged the same height. Some railway lines were laid when carriages where not that tall, as a result different routes can handle certain types of rail traffic.. Hence all their routes are normally computer calculated
  12. Wrong thread Tony! With regards to the tyres, those look very ropey for 2017, I have some tyres fitted to my wife's corolla that have been on since 2014 and they look in better condition
  13. Ouch! Shows you how much kinetic energy is in a train and how long they need to stop!
  14. Books under the sink Clock numbers are the wrong way around There are more subtle ones but you need to look really closely
  15. I ended up selling the fuel a day or so ago, posted on Facebook marketplace and some pikey came and collected, paid his money and went. Got £20 for it, so it's better than just sitting in the garage smelling the place out.
  16. Cheers guys. So the friends I did it for are not very well off so I only got them to pay for the replacement fuel filter and the 5l of diesel I got for them. They did transfer an extra £10 over to me which was kind of them and whilst it was a ball ache, I wasn't doing it for the cash... Most likely that £10 will go towards a nice bunch of flowers for Amy (My Wife). The 40L of diesel is sat in 2 containers in the garage, advertised for £25 on Facebook and gumtree. I have clearly stated its been tainted with about 7L of petrol, but it will be good for someone. Did have one person interested but he's a no show and over an hour late so I'm not holding My breath on this one. The AA to which they are members of said it would cost them £180 just to drain the tank, thats not including the fuel line flush that we did, or a new filter
