Full Version: How very odd

As per usual the cars in to solve a pulling problem..... easy fix since the adjusters are pre-installed so of i goes correcting the front camber/castor/ toe.

These angles are set sequentially in order of how much influence each correction has on other angles, reads complicated but it not.... Basically when the camber is corrected it dramatically changes the toe, so it's wise to move the camber before toe. Anyhoo on this car the final toe positions where very displaced, i corrected the position and then bounced the suspension up/down to relax everything, but then the camber positions changed and where now wrong huh.gif Ok start the engine and set the camber positions again with the pump purged, bounce the car and everything changed again huh.gif

Turns out the anti-roll bar is so seized it's holding the suspension position up/down....... Never seen this condition before but hay this is wim.

Yep...would crap fit have found that out, I think not! wink.gif

It's the "why factor" huh.gif ... Surly ounce bounced the suspension should settle midpoint but on this car it didn't.... "Why". By triangulation it was determined the only friction point was the roll bar and the fact i've never seen this before doesn't mean it won't happen.... That box you need to look out of has very big windows providing you remove the blinkers smile_anim.gif

So did you manage to free the anti roll bar or did you have to use new bushes etc.?

This one troubled me...... As said i couldn't conclude the camber positions so the bushings are being replaced and i will calibrate the chassis again...... But i failed? If on the day i removed the ARB the calibration would have been unhindered rolleyes.gif Live and learn........

But then, wouldn't at the first bump the problem would probably resurfaced.

Replace bushes and recalibrate is the correct thing to do in my eyes. But then what do I know!
