liner33
Thats not true This was a big story back in 2000!!! The story is that the guy had a bottle heater installed (which is like an electric blanket to heat the bottle and get the pressure up) , only thing is 1. The heater was on a permanent live with just a switch (Should be ign live via a relay) 2. There was no pressure switch fitted to turn off the heater at a certain pressure and the bottle valve was off 3. The brain dead idiot had removed the safety burst disc from the bottle which vents the contents at around 1500psi , its dramatic but its like a CO2 extinguisher going off , not harmful So the bottle got hotter and hotter but the pressure had no way to vent, eventually at around 300bar/4200psi the bottle failed The car was in his garage at the time, it happened at night , the explosion was so violent some of the rear window trim was under the front wheels He then tried to sue the manufacturer of the kit , but he is an idiot and was told so by everyone who knows the first thing about nitrous
Tony
Sadly the image isn't dated but your explanation exposes utter neglect for safety and for this reason he deserves what he got.
