Bought a Nilfisk Pressure Washer

I have been after one for a long time and been looking for any good deals, didn't want to pay much. I was browsing HUKD yesterday and Amazon were doing a lightening deal for one with a patio cleaner. It was reduced to £50 delivered and was 98% claimed when I saw it, luckily I got one and it got delivered today! :D

Since I've moved into the house and I have become very lazy and hardly wash the cars, I just don't have the time or when I do have a spare hour I can't be bothered! I'm hoping it will make things abit easier now and I can clean both cars at the same time. It will also help clean the underneath and around the suspension/arches, which I can't get clean with a hose pipe and brush.

This is the one I bought - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Nilfisk-C110-4-5-PC-Pressure/dp/B00AZKE2HC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1409066578&sr=8-1&keywords=nilfisk+c110+4-5+pc+xtra+compact+high+pressure+washer+with+patio+cleaner

Does anyone have this model?

Well I knew it was a compact model but I didn't realise just how small this is! On the plus side it will make it easier for storing indoors during the winter months to protect it from the frost. Some of the reviews say the hose is abit short and quite hard so some have upgraded it to a better longer one but I'll see how it goes first cos they're £35!

I'm hoping to test it out tomorrow on the patio see if it cleans it up anymore and then give the cars a wash.

This is one of their entry level pressure washers as well, the others increase in pressure. The majority of the reviews say it's an awesome machine and does all the jobs needed perfectly. A couple say it doesn't have enough pressure but I think they are expecting too much from it!

The good thing about the Nilfisk ones are the pumps on all their models are metal, Karcher use plastic and they seem to get alot of failures, which is why I opted for this brand.

When you do the patio get some before/ after pictures.

I have already given it a good clean by hand with a brush and some patio cleaner, which made a massive difference. There are still some areas that look dirty so I want to see if this will shift them so I don't think the before/after photos will be that impressive.

This is the attachment that came with it, it's not shown in the link above - http://www.cleanstore.co.uk/products/Product.asp?ID=7422

Yeah the reviews aren't great, I wouldn't of paid extra for it after reading them. Yes I think it has a rotating lance, has like a ball bearing in it or something that rattles?

Yep I think that's the one, that's what you'll need to shift the really stubborn stuff.

Well first impression is really good. Did the patio today and the cleaner is actually good but only for light grime, it's not going to remove the stubborn stains they need more direct pressure. Next job is the cars.

It's good but i expected more in truth.

Expected more of what?

Like I said I had already done the patio by hand with a brush and patio cleaner, it was just a little dirty so there won't be much difference.

This is what it was like before:

Did you read the whole thread? :P

The stubborn areas I wanted to remove were the size of a 5p or 10p coin and some cleaned up but others are just too ground in I think or need harsh chemicals. I don't think that patio had been cleaned for years, before I did it by hand whenever it got wet it was very slippery!!

Yes I used that with a brush when doing it by hand but even after 2 hits some of it wouldn't budge. I was on my knees with a dish brush removing some of them! I might try it again with the pressure washer but it can also stain the slabs as well and make them look worse. I'm happy with how it looks now anyway, it's a damn sight better than before, I just can't believe how some people neglect their homes, whether they own or rent them.
