You may have noticed the addition of the donation box on the right hand side of the forum homepage. We appreciate not everybody wants to become a gold member but may want to help contribute to the running costs of this great forum we have. All donations will be gratefully accepted no matter how small, just enter the amount into the box and pay via paypal  :)

Also don't forget to become a gold member it is only £10 a year and you get the following benefits:

  • Upload photos directly to your threads using the forum hosting
  • Use our image gallery for storing your photos
  • Your PM box will be extended to 500
  • Unrestricted arcade use (very addictive when you have the time!)
  • Sell unwanted items on the forum
  • Edit your posts whenever you like (non members have a 10 minute time limit)

To become a gold member follow this link.

Would anyone be interested in purchasing WIM merchandise like keyrings, tax holders etc? I have looked at this in the past but because we have a small member base it wasn't very cost effective just ordering a few at a time. If there is enough interest I can look into it again  :)

thing is. I dont really have any negative things to say about opie.. their products are good and customer service is great.. just the price of some of their oils is crazy. 0w-30 for the accord is silly price

That's negative to me :)

Let them know they are expensive.  Other than not buying from them ;)

as an example of how expensive they are...

their cheapest 0w-30 ( oil used in the diesel accord)..

is 42.99 inc vat for a 4L bottle.

I get 25L of 0w-30 that meets all the same standards as the one above and has a good rating for just short of £85 delivered next day to my door.

All depends what you want.  If you are happy with what you have then yes they can be expensive :)

That's comparing apples to oranges.  Not many people have the ability, nor the desire, to store a barrel of oil in their garage.  Opie's prices are very competitive, for what they sell.  Much lower than halfords usually and still cheaper than my local autospares.

That being said where do you buy your oil from?  :)  I have looked for barrels in the past here in the UK, but never came up with a site that I could buy from in the oil brand/weight that I wanted.  We used to get 500 gallons of 10-40 and other 500 gallons of hydraulic fluid when I lived on the farm.
