Tony
I think they mean enough to lower the shield and penetrate the spike.....Anyway it's not hard to hammer down if needed
CP09
With a relative using a battery powered wheelchair, we've realised that pavement parking forces wheelchair users (and baby buggies/prams) into the road which isn't particularly safe. Of course, modern estates are laid out without sufficient parking as a deliberate attempt to reduce car use.... Colin
Tony
Around here parking is on the hardshoulder in order to give buses a clear route.

Rich
Down my road alot of people park half on/off the pavement on the grass verges. Well there's not much grass left on most of them, just churned up mud! When I lived at the flat some people would park fully on the pavement rather than the car park so it saved them an extra 10 seconds of walking. Used to drive me mad! Tony
We it reads like these spikes will be welcome in most areas.
NickT
Let's hope no one falls on the spike causing injury, considering the video shows it being pushed down by a finger
jammy
knowing uk highways or who ever would install them will no doubt leave enough gap between each unit to still gain access to the path and park there
Tony
It's all down to the spring load... If you compare human weight -V- a car it's easy to work out Note: Americans not included
