Thomas Woodard
Hi, I'm picking up my 59 plate mx5 on Friday and am very excited. I've been reading lots of comments about the ride height of the UK spec mk3 being higher than Mazda intended, is this the case for the post 2009 car too? Thanks, Tom
Tony
Hi Tom and welcome to wim The 09 MK3 is the same whereas the MK3.5 is -15mm F/R..... You may find yours has been corrected to the desired trim height of 345mm measured here> Just for further education the MK3 runs on oil dampers and the sport on gas dampers, in both cases they use the same lowering coils OEM by Eibach whereas the MK3.5 hardtop runs gas dampers but has different lowering coils at the rear due to the additional weight of the top and motor. Oh and by the way........ Go have fun they are a wonderful car
Thomas Woodard
Thanks, It's a mk3.5 soft top sport tech so I assume it'll have the -15mm springs already although I will give it a measure when it arrives. Thanks for the info about the dampers. Tom
Tony
Yes that will be -15mm compared to the MK3 but oddly enough has the same geometry spec according to Mazda
