scorps
Is there a product I can use with a machine polisher to remove stains on the glass, basically it's where I park at work with all the industrial fallout that's in the air and where I don't wash the car as often as I should do. I taped off around the trim and then used a "zero grade" wire wool and then with a Stanley type blade which has removed a lot but the staining is still there slightly. I do know that you can't concentrate in one area for to long as this can make the glas hot and prone to cracking or worst case scenario shattering!! If anyone has any experiences or have come across this problem in the past a pointer in the right direction will be much appreciated. SMARTLY
The only stuff I know of for glass is jewellers rouge but not sure if it can be done with a machine polisher. Did you try isopropanol first on a rag?
liner33
Cerium oxide is the most severe stuff but as said really needs a polisher or drill with a felt bob . Have you tried meths yet ? That will shift a lot of marks
Rich
I presume you have tried clay, tar and fallout remover? I've not used the cerium oxide stuff yet but from what I've read it should work.
Tony
Is it safe near paint cos it reads like potent stuff......
Rich
You use it on glass not the paint so in theory you won't get any on there. It's a polish so you'd have to be working it into the paint for it to do any damage, unlike a liquid that could spill.
Tony
I think i would mask off the paint anyway..... Bird s**t isn't a liquid but that damages the paint quite well.
Rich
There's no need to mask it off. Bird crap is abit different, it has acid in it, which is what causes the damage.
