Melted bubble wrap on exhaust

I drove over a sheet of it yesterday and pulled it out when I got home but some has already melted on to the exhaust and it stinks once it's got hot!

Any tips on how to remove it?

when the exhaust is cold you will have the best chance or removing it, hopefully as it is a thermally reactive plastic it should be brittle or at least harder so picking it off may work. If not, then im not sure other than excessive heat to burn it away and wire wool to scrape it

I'll give that a go, the smell is horrible! Will it eventually burn off if I leave it?

The car in front drove over it and it came out the rear but when I didn't see it come out I knew it had got stuck somewhere :( Damn lowered cars!

It's up near the diff end I think but can't see properly without jacking the car up. I need to do something, it stinks, although after turning the engine off it goes fairly quickly.
