Mechanics chess set... I want!

You used to be able to buy a dedicated chess computer, but I don't know whether you still can. Google for the Sensory Chess Challenger 9; that's the one that I have. It uses magnetic pieces so that it knows where all the pieces are and there is a light in each board square so that it can tell you where it (the machine) wants to move. It plays at eight different levels and it won the mini-computer chess championships back in the 1980's so it's pretty good.

 

I've played hundreds of games with it, but it always beats me . . . . .  :smile_anim:  I must put some new batteries in it and have another try.
