Tony
This photo shoot today was for wim and the magazines..... The whole event was born over a few days notice and offered top support for wim from the various Mazda owners clubs.... I hand on heart want to thank everyone who attended and those who worked hard out of sight make this meet happen. Anyway less talk more images.... wim's junior support team welcomed those who turned up early Before long a body of Mazda's appeared Then some more.... And more Totally buried in a sea of MX5's here's my ugly mug.... Do i look nervous or what So with over 30 cars the shoot began....... Many more professional images to follow..... It was nice to see the children/ teenagers involved Even some futuristic practice was evident..... Good job the owner had the keys The inevitable visit to the engine bay was required I think you will agree it was a fantastic display of support and i humbly thank everyone involved..... We will have some professional images to show you other than my Brownie examples. Special thanks to the gunnabe show girls who helped the owners and myself today...... Dawn Jade Amber And the little wim soldier Josh

Some great photos there and some nice motors, will get my pics up in abit il bring mine next time mate we can block the gate's We can push.... Being a Mondeo owner this should be familiar ..... The gates were a laugh? what i didn't know was out of hours the code to get in only allows one car, so we had one of the kids on the gate all afternoon solely to let cars in.... juzzyp
Was nice to see you again Tony and you couldn't ask for better weather, I know I didn't bring the Rex down and brought 5 instead but I thought it was fitting. Really looking forward seeing your centre open for the first time and I'll be in touch about the features soon, it'll take sometime to put together. PS. By the way I didn't know my 5 I could reach that speed before the barrier.
Janey
Excellent turn out Not sure I've ever seen that many 5's in one place apart from JAE
Sagitar
Excellent turn out Not sure I've ever seen that many 5's in one place apart from JAE My daughter wants to know how many of them were hairdressers? She is keen on the MR2. She and her husband have had all three versions and are concerned that Toyota seem to have no plans for a new sports car for the UK. In consequence she may have to look at an MX5 but is concerned about its "image".
Tony
Excellent turn out Not sure I've ever seen that many 5's in one place apart from JAE The clubs pulled this together in a few days.... I was shocked by the support. Maybe the sign at the main gate had some influence

I don't think they will ever shake off the 'hairdressers car' tag Weird thing is that the majority are actually owned by blokes who aren't even hairdressers. The 5 is a popular great fun car with loads of scope for tweeking if you want to, even if the Mk3 does need lowering a foot before it looks good you have access to a great handling (if Tony sets it up) car. Best bet is for them to go & have a look on the MX5 OC http://www.mx5ocforum.co.uk/ & the Toyota OC http://www.toyotaownersclub.com/ read about the 2 and see the communities and what they all say TBH although the 5 is great, I'd rather have a MR2 Roadster if I had to choose between the two (waits for the brick throwing to commence)
jon
I was looking through the pictures and starting to get really worried, then a noticed them in the background Couldn't have a WIM meet without at least 2 IS200s turning up As for this sign... At least you won't have to crush many cars
Robie
I'm not a hairdresser I just appreciate the gokart like handling of the MX-5 Having been a member of TOC for a number of years I suspect finding an unbutchered MR2 would be difficult and don't go pushing it in the wet because the engine is in the wrong place. The MX-5 is a great fun car to drive and so well balanced... Obviously she will have to make the choice herself but I felt the '5 was best for me! I love being different and driving a 'hairdressers car' with my usual mullet of a hairstyle lol.
jon
Engine in the wrong place on the MR2? Dynamically it's in the perfect place... I don't think MX5 owners should be discussing engines anyway. All that car needed was some power and it would have been great.

They have a Celica and a Jaguar XKR also.
