Why not fit them on caravans and trailers?....... At the moment they use reinforced, 6ply, 8ply or even 10ply tyres... Some have internal run-on bands which are expensive and very hard to remove and install. The reason they don't use RFT tyres is simply because there not made in 13", 14" sizes but i believe there's a huge wanting untapped market there.

6 - 8 - 10ply tyres are far from cheap.

Meant to produce than to buy (although is that the case also?). To develop RFTs for such a limited market would make them expensive.

Although are RFTs still being mandatory at some point? So the range of available sizes should grow at that point.

Mandatory in the states for cars build after a certain year. Optional in the UK but sold as a safety feature, oddly enough though safer or not the insurance fee remains the same

RFT'S for caravans and trailers would have a huge market because they cannot downgrade the tyre rating meaning and RFT could cover all.
