Tony
What would you go for?
Tony
As suggested i have one of these from Amazon on the way 81iOdMI8DuL._SL1500_.jpg And I've found the port for it to go in the cabin. Also today I've fitted the nav-pod and the new radio which is working fine although i have to re-fit all the dash yet. This is somewhat worrying re the bluetooth> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bb3crGQ9FA0
liner33
The eml327 is fine for reading fault codes but for live data its a bit slow , also it stays powered up so leaving it connected will drain your battery but it will be sufficient for testing so try it and then I will recommend a better one
Tony
Are you sure that's an MR2, only a google search reveals it as a generic picture used on many websites. I have found it on the OSF behined the plastic....I hope?

liner33
need to check the functionality and the eml327 will do that I suspect you may have limited obd options

Tony
What the blue one suggested in the thread?
liner33
Yeah the blue one should connect and access an obd2 socket but we arent sure at present whether the car is obd2 compliant
Tony
I did see the multi plug connection on the OSF isn't that the OBD connection.
Viking
It could be Toyotas own specification, or it could be OBD1, or it could be OBD2. The fact that there's a plug just means there's a plug. It's the data which is transmitted through it which is important.
Tony
That i'm yet to find out...I mean it looks correct?
liner33
Many cars have a standard size OBD but have limited connectivity, but lets try the easy option first and work from there

Tony
Surprised me....I've already fitted a few bits during the radio install. The rest of the bits i don't know where they go yet but once i get the cabin something tidy I'll study where they go.

Tony
Finally have the OEM glass fitted...It really was a labour of love mainly because the OEM glass was slightly wider and curved. As said before i did try to get the glass cut but being toughened any cutting would shatter it, so this meant i had to trim the honeycomb grill on one side but it opened a problem that being cutting it straight, so here it is but a little more work on the grill is needed. liner33
Did you buy those speakers because of the blue leds?
Tony
Partly yes and since the F360 didn't have speakers that stood out of the ordinary. Now i have the CD player installed it was obvious the speakers couldn't cope.
Rich
Glass looks good now. Where are you putting the speakers, in the doors? They're 6x9 so have you checked they'll fit?
Tony
Yep in the doors...I haven't checked the fit because the cavity between the F360 add on card and the original donor cars door is vast, nevertheless i do expect some fettling will be required
Rich
I think you might have problems fitting those. The standard ones seem to be 5.25" but 6" do fit. I think 6 X 9s in the doors will take more than some fettling. Probably more aggro than it's worth
