SMARTLY
It's a new seal fitted by Jaguar last week to stop the edge of the boot lid hitting the bumper.

Rich
You can't get hybrid diesels. I'd go with a focus too or a Ford anyway. Â What was wrong with the Jag, that didn't last long?
SMARTLY
Yes, it's a Focus again  Problem with the Jag was although I loved it, taking it too and fro to the dealer for warranty work was just a pain. It's a 20 mile drive, so 40 miles for an inspection and if they have it for a day then it's 40 miles one day and 40 miles the next. There hasn't been anything major just to many timings and too often. Final straw was last week it got booked in for 4 days in May for two parking sensor faults, corrosion on all four alloys ( they took some pictures but Jaguar want HD pictures of back and front of all four wheels before they will consider new ones plus there's a light smell of diesel since it had a new diesel pump last time it was in.  So just got fed up. Rich
That's a lot of issues for such a new car, maybe that was a wise decision to let it go. Touch wood the Lexus has been fine but no dealers are local if any problems do arise.
