Sagitar
It was such a lovely day yesterday, so when I went out to shop in the morning I put a wide angle lens onto the camera and took a few photos on my route. Nothing special, but it is so good to be able to enjoy the weather and our little Georgian town looks so much better in the sunshine. Rich
That's a nice set and there are some lovely buildings in your town. They certainly beat all of the flats popping up around here!
Tony
Very nice area that almost looks mediterranean. Pictures are brilliantly clear and crisp....
NickT
I feel sorry for the owners of the houses that can't afford proper tiles on the roof, and have to make do with a bit of hay and chicken wire ... I'm only messing
Tony
I must say the risk of fire must really play on their minds in the hot summer months...
Sagitar
Almost a year later and the plants in the front garden are looking more mature, but we could really do with some rain.
Geoffers
Looking good. There's a good mix and flow there. I need to spend more time in my garden as I enjoy it but don't seem to do much in it for some reason. Actually I'll be doing my front garden soon, just cutting a bit out for the wheelie bins so may ask for some advice on what to plant. Pretty much a blank canvas. Sagitar
Blimey they are slow growing plants.... Still looks well kept but i wouldn't expect anything less Sagitar. They are pretty much full grown now Tony. Some of them I trim after they have finished flowering, but they were all chosen for their limited size and for their easy care character. I've put a lot of top dressing around them during the year and have fed them with slow feed fertiliser (fish, blood and bone). Slugs are a bit of a problem but I fight them with nematodes and I think I'm winning. Airborne weed seeds are a pain but I try to pull them while they are still small. The soil is very light (we are on the greensand ridge) so the plants were also chosen for their ability to live without much water. We really could do with some rain at the moment. Tony
Knowing what your doing helps..... Green fingers i haven't got unless i want to grow some Triffids.. Your right though rain is hardly in abundance so far this year so you planted wisely.
Rich
That's looking really nice, you definitely have green fingers We have trouble keeping flowers and plants going in pots, never mind a whole garden full. We had an infestation of caterpillar type bugs eating a small rose bush last year and a small conifer turned brown. This year there are bugs eating another rose bush so I think we need some of the rose clear.
