Tony
From day one my 360 had dirty and slightly damaged wheels. It's for this reason i never took to cleaning them since it looked like they would need to be refurbished. Last week i bought some alloy cleaner because it was 50% off. So the next time i cleaned the car i sprayed the wheels thinking yeah right. 20min later they looked like new ....Seemingly i was wrong. Rich
Probably just a build up of brake dust which comes off easily anyway. The only time it won't come off easily is when they've got very hot and baked on. That's what happens when the brakes bind!
Steve-O
Probably an acid based cleaner then. If you refurb switch to a pH neutral version (I use bilt hamber) towel dry the wheels then Seal them with something like AG Wheel Seal (I use my Gyeon wet coat). Makes the next time easier and less product required
